We've got snow!!! Last night it started snowing and we ended up with about 2 inches which is a real treat around here!! Last night they announced that schools would be closed today, so we stayed up late and I made pigs in a blanket and we watched a movie. This moring while the kids were sledding down the front yard I made some cinnamon rolls and bacon. Fun day home from school!!

Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree!!!

Tonight we got our REAL tree!! We had so much fun unpacking all of our ornaments. My favorites are the ornaments with the kids pictures on them. It is so fun to see how much they have grown. We also did our annual tradition of stringing popcorn and cranberries. We did this when I was growing up and it is something that my mom and her mom did growing up too. I am sure back then it was due to the fact that they had no money, so they did this as a means of decorating their Christmas tree. The kids really enjoy it! After the popcorn and cranberries are added and all of the hand-made ornaments, it looks a bit like Charlie Browns tree, but I LOVE it!!

Tonight was Savannah's Winter Band Concert. It was a wonderful show. Savannah plays really well now and is also in the jazz band which played two songs tonight. I am so proud of her and the hard work she has put into learning to play.

This evening we decorated our big fake tree! We got it last year after Christmas on clearance. It looks so pretty. We are still going to have a real tree to put all of the handmade ornaments on that the kids have made over the years...it's my favorite:)

First Day of Thanksgiving Break

We have definitely made the most of our first day of Thanksgiving Break. Josh and Maveric had Basketball Camp this morning from 8-12. The girls and I called Viv to see what her kids were doing today and it just so happens that they were at work with her. So, we went by and got them and headed to the Goodwill. We found some really cute things there for very, very cheap. We went home to play and then got the boys from Camp. After lunch and fun time outside we headed out to see Bolt in 3-D at Smyrna's new movie theater. My mom met us at the movie theater with Bailey so that I could trade her for Piper. Everyone had a really fun day!
